BEST BEFORE: Eaten By Anyone Else!
My son and his fiancé made the drive over to the new Krispy Kreme doughnut shop in Whitfords today. For folks like us that live in Kalamunda it is no small undertaking going all the way to Whitfords. You need to check the oil and water, top up on fuel, check the tyres, download the required maps to your phone's GPS, and review what the weather is going to be like over there in case you need a change of clothes when you get there.
On the upside at least they were not going on opening day which was three days ago. Reports indicated that parking was horrendous and that there were hundreds queued up waiting to get into the shop and buy some doughnuts. Apparently 73,200 doughnuts were sold on opening day.
Even today they had to queue for an hour to buy some doughnuts but they persevered and the picture below is the evidence that they made it into the store and were permitted to purchase some doughnuts.

This is what $32.50 worth of 'Opening Special' Krispy Kreme doughnuts look like. That makes it about $1.35 a doughnut which I guess is not that bad for a specialty doughnut. It's a reasonable 'Opening Special' discount because the pamphlet shows that these doughnuts are normally $3.00 each.
I noticed also that they do spell doughnut correctly on all their advertising and literature.
I doubt that a box of these Krispy Kreme doughnuts is ever going to have time to go stale at anyone's house but just in case they do there is some helpful "Best Before:" timing information provided on the side of the box.
Seems Krispy Kreme doughnuts are best consumed before "Eaten By Anyone Else!"
