Esquire Magazine’s 2010 ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’

EsquireKateEach year Esquire Magazine pick their ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’. Esquire like to refer to their pick as the “thinking man’s sexiest woman” in that boobs, legs, and butt only contribute to about half of the total assessment.

In case you missed it, and I am sure I posted about it but I can’t be bothered right now going back through my posts and checking, Kate Beckinsale was Esquire’s ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ for 2009. I totally agreed with that choice.

Kate Beckinsale has been a favourite of mine for some time and I am really glad to hear that she is considering coming back to reprise her role as Selene in the next Underworld movie (Underworld 4, due for release in 2012).

Esquire’s 2011 ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ is Mina Kelly (below). I have never heard of her! Is this a really bad sign of getting old, that I do not know the woman selected by Esquire Magazine as the ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’?

On the Esquire Web site (here) the opening paragraph goes: Minka Kelly is the thinking man’s idea of a sexy woman. She’s brainy, athletic, practical, down to earth, and she can act also.

Minka1It seems Minka stars in the popular TV series “Friday Night Lights”—which I have actually never heard of. I am reasonably sure this series never made it on to any TV station in Perth. Maybe I will suck down a couple of episodes as see what the fuss is.

When asked by Esquire what her ideal night would be she replied: “My ideal night is dinner at home and a movie, glass of wine. Every time I’m in my sweats and I get my blanket and my pillows and I’m on the couch about to watch a movie, I find myself saying, This is the life.”

Well, just so you will recognise Esquire’s 2011 ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ should you come across her on the Web or in a magazine following are a few more pictures of her from the Web.

For my money Kate Beckinsale was a better ‘Sexiest Woman Alive’ winner.
