Effective Cropping: Great Illustrated Example

I plan to do a post on cropping of digital photographs as part of my "Digital Darkroom" set of posts, but in the meantime I came across this great illustrated example of effective cropping.

This great illustration by "lunchbreath" on Flickr shows one of the primary uses of cropping; which is to remove unwanted clutter from the photograph and draw the viewer's attention in on the main subject.

To go to lunchbreath's photostream on Flickr and see other humorous illustration he did for the Chicago Auto Show either do a Ctrl+Click on the picture or here [Shift+Click if you are an Opera user].
